Director of Studies

Join the growing team at our English language school in St Julians, Malta. The school is British-run and provides a high-quality service for international students. We are an accredited EAQUALS School of Excellence this international accreditation was awarded after just two years of operation. We operate year-round and have a capacity of 250 students when using our 2 annexes in summer.

EFL Teachers - Teaching English Positions in Malta

Full and part-time applicants should either hold a TEFL, CELTA, or DELTA qualification (or equivalent). Job description

  • To manage the Academic Team ensuring a high quality of tuition that meets / exceeds the requirements of the students, school and accreditation board.
  • To actively promote CPD and develop the skills of the teachers.
  • To ensure that all academic standards and systems meet / exceed the requirements of both local and foreign monitoring boards and accreditation boards.
  • To develop and introduce new material to meet both internal and external client requirements.
  • To recruit teachers who meet the requirements of both local and foreign monitoring boards and accreditation boards.
  • To work closely with all other members of the management team to ensure the smooth running of the school at all times, both operationally and logistically, and to help ensure that all accreditation standards are met / exceeded.

Qualifications

  • Minimum DELTA / DIPTesol,
  • 1000 hours teaching Preferably Train the Trainer Qualification (local or foreign)
  • A minimum of two years as either a Director of Studies (DOS) or Assistant Director of Studies (ADOS).
  • Experienced or familiar with accreditation systems/requirements, locally and/or internationally.

Digital Marketing Assistant

Maltalingua is expanding its marketing team and is looking to hire a digital marketing assistant with some experience in digital marketing and content writing.

This role is ideal for candidates looking to start a career in digital marketing and is interested in working within the education and tourism industry.

You should possess a passion for writing and will be responsible for generating exciting and compelling stories on both digital and print sources of media as well as assisting with sales and customer service as required.

Full training will be provided

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the head of marketing to strategize and create new marketing campaigns
  • Work closely with marketing team members
  • Understand and follow digital marketing best practices
  • Assist in sales and acquisition of new clients
  • Provide customer service as and when required

Qualifications

  • Native speaker of at least one of the following languages: German / French / Spanish / Italian
  • Must be able to speak English to a high level

Host Families

Maltalingua is looking to provide our adult students with a home away from home. We are looking for families who are caring and are more than willing to make our students feel welcome. Accommodation is a very important part of the service we provide and we hope all our students leave Malta with a positive impression. Hosts must be within a 15 min walk from the school, which is located near the City of London Pub just off Balluta Bay. Rates vary accordingly.
